Is this in the pipeline still - would be nice to have a dark interface to match. I like the dark color schemes in text editor like'Base Dark' and would like the interface to match :)

If you dare, you can modify the executable yourself and change the colors, using a program like Resource Tuner 2 :D

1.) Make a copy of webuild.exe and open the copy in Resource Tuner
2.) Unfold the "RC Data" folder in Resource Tuner. (This contains various views)

As an example I modify the background color of the "About" dialog

3.) Unfold the "TFMABOUT" folder. and select the first entry (fmAbout: TfmAbout)
4.) Now you can modify various properties like the backgroundcolor (Color) or the text color (Font.Color)
(You can find a list of VCL color names here: http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/XE8/en/Colors_in_VCL)
5.) Select the "Color" property in the right window.
6.) Change the value in the requester below the property window to "clRed" or whatever you want.
7.) Save the file.
8.) Open your copy of WeBuilder and select the "About" menu item.
9.) The background color should now be red. (Or whatever color you selected in step #6)

I'm trying to convince Karlis that we need the dark variant for the next major version, hopefully he listens and hopefully it's technically possible. As far as I'm aware, one of the problems is with the toolbar icons - they are made for light background and will not look fine on black background.

Hello Newbie here
I have just bought HTMLPad2015 and immediately spent 1-2hrs looking for a dark theme.
I have edited the colours to make the IDE dark, but that doesn't change the rest of the UI.

I now know that there is no dark theme for HTMLPad2015.

So I would like to echo the requestors here, to call for a dark theme for the overall UI.

Many thanks
Scotty

There will be a bit darker gray scheme available in version 2016, however it won't be completely dark, as due to challenges beyond our capabilities, we currently can not offer GUI where there is light text on dark background as our menu and toolbar controls do not support this. The amount of work to support completely dark GUI schemes is currently beyond reach, but we do not discard this as a future project for the years to come.
