My Suggestions

I have a few kinda small Suggestions to improve HTMLPad:

- It would be nice if you could add Support for Classic Style Toolbars, because i REALLY hate (!) those Office / XP / MS New Design Stuff....
Currently, i'm REALLY close to buy HTMLPad, but this thing is really getting me a bit mad...

I really think that not everyone likes the new Style bars.

- Also i would like to have a Feature to edit linked Files. Like, right-clicking on the Line
<link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

would open a menu that lets me open the file style.css in HTMLPad

- Not REALLY neccesary, but i would like to have an internal Netscape/Mozilla (Gecko) preview (If its already there, then i just dont find it)

- On exit or "Close all" with more than one changed File, there should be the option to "Save all" or "Save none"

- A really small thing but yet to mention is, HTMLPad should minimize / restore its Windows instantly (without Window-Animations).
Why that, you ask? Well it can speed up the work, especially if your like me and toggle a lot from this Program to that.

- I wrote this already on another Part of the forum, but... HTMLPad should support Site Projects. Here is my Post about why and how it should work (5th Post from above):

Also, i found two bugs:

1. When i click "Clear all" in the Clipboard-Window, it clears everthing but the first entry.

2. When i type
<img sr

in the Editor window, it doesnt Select the next fitting tag (src). Here is a Picture of what i mean:
Image
Mayby thats the only TAG where it happens, maybe there are more of this little error, i dunno...

Well, thats it for now. Sorry if i'm too petty about some things but i just want to help, making this Tool *really* the BEST HTML-Editor out there (and i must say its very close)

Well, thanks for reading

Thank you for the post. You have indeed some useful suggestions and one real bug found. Some are being taken care of already.

These few I can not promise:

* Classic toolbar style. XP Style is better, because it provides larger buttons and larger menu items, so it is easier to click. White background allows to quicklier recognize text in menus. MS invented this not for beauty but convenience. Maybe you hate MS, thus do not like anything they invent  Well, in the next version, probably it will be possible to choose between Standard, XP and Office 2003 design.

* Turning off, windows animations. I would like to do so, but at the time, I have not found a way to do this in MDI Application. I hate this animation too, but it is provided by Windows system and I have not found a way to turn it off. Probably it disappears if you turn off all animations on your Windows XP system, I'm not sure though.
