Double Click Word: Extend Selection

Postby toneee » Fri Aug 17, 2007 1:40 am

Hi,
I bought a license for RapidPHP 2007 yesterday and I'm really happy with. I used Dreamweaver before and I have one little thing I would like to see in RapidPHP too.

I usually did selecting words by double clicking one word and then extend the selection to the next word that automatically select to the end of the word when the cursor moves on the first letter of the word. This feature is common on any editor tools, but why it didn't work on RapidPHP 2007? I did this very often, and found it didn't work on RapidPHP it turns me down. I try to find the way to reconfigure settings from the Preferences menu, but never succeed.

Many thanks for your help!

I seem to recall this has been suggested before, and unfortunately, its due to the 3rd party editor control, rather than a preference.

It is in the list, but it is not easy to do, may take a lot of time.

Is there any update on the doubleclick-drag-multiple-words-selection-situation?

I think it's not implemented yet.

It's definitely not implemented yet.
It can be frustrating at times that this doesn't work as it does in every other piece of software.

Hi!

Thanks for bringing this up again.
After spending some time on research, it seems we will be able to find a solutions to this.
Hopefully this will work in the next version.
Kind regards,

I would like to throw my 2-cents in that this is desperately need for coders coming from other IDEs. I use double and triple-click-drag countless of times a day in other editors.

Any progress on this issue, it doesn't seem like it ever made it into WB, I'm using 2014 trial and it lack this functionality...

Thanks,

Jaden

Unfortunately it didn't make it into 2014, we had a huge list and some things had to be left in the list.
