It will be a time-saving option.
If we do a column selection of 0 chars with SHIFT+ALT and a CTRL+V, the clipboard should be pasted on each column-selected line.
------------
Visual sample
We have this:
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
Line 5
Line 6
Place the cursor on the right of the L of the first line. Do a column selection with SHIFT+ALT, press DOWN key until you place the cursor on the right of the L of the last line. If we press CTRL+V to paste 'echo "' now we get this:
echo "Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
Line 4
Line 5
Line 6
If the column insert it's developed we will get this:
echo "Line 1
echo "Line 2
echo "Line 3
echo "Line 4
echo "Line 5
echo "Line 6
This improvement should be also used to insert text on the middle of lines. Example:
echo "Some text here1. Other text1";
echo "Some text here2. Other text2";
echo "Some text here3. Other text3";
Doing a column insert we could do this easily:
echo "Some text here1 and here. Other text1";
echo "Some text here2 and here. Other text2";
echo "Some text here3 and here. Other text3";
