Allow use of public/private keys for SFTP authentication

Postby cthorpe » Fri May 27, 2011 9:02 am

I do not use password authentication on my VPS, so as of now the SFTP functionality is useless for me.

Please consider adding support for ssh keys instead of passwords.

This was requested some time ago (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3761&start=0&hilit=sftp), but I just wanted to make sure you knew it was still a feature that some of us want.

Thanks!

I support what the original poster said. The addition of ssh keys is very important. It helps us as developers maintain secure servers.

What is the status of this? I am very interested in this functionality. I'm a big fan of RapidPHP, but it's a little bit of a pain to have to disable/re-enable key authentication on my servers every time I upload something. Would be a great addition!
