Doh, I only just installed .01! :)

Something I've noticed in .01 is that although it doesn't show a CSS preview as much as preview, if you save (ctrl+s) it'll create a prev file. This prev file then seems to remain there.

I'm not sure what apparently makes it so difficult to stop this prev file from appearing period, but I'd really like it to stop cropping up if possible.

Karlis,

I am honored for this. Thanks.

You actually suggested with this to upgrade today. Nice argument.

Seriously, this is a great update for all of us. maybe a minor one, but also annoying.

Thanks

I'm new on here but I just had to comment about your very impressive responsiveness to your users' needs. I'm a longtime TSW webcoder user and I've completely switched to web builder in the last 2 weeks.
I'm slowly using up my 30 tries of Web builder with an eye to seeing if your $39.99 special comes around again.

Ryan- Prev files are mentioned here. I also wrote a quick prog to squish 'em.

Any news on when SFTP support will be added? I really loved evaluating the software, but I can't buy it until there is support for SFTP.

Thanks chris, I know about that though.

I was mentioning it because the 2007 change log explicitly states this problem was fixed, but it doesn't seem to anymore (Though I'm sure it was when I used the alpha!).

+ Improved: When no preview pressed, there should be no preview file created for css

The prev files are still created when you save your .css document, regardless of whether or not you've ever hit preview.

Ryan,

Could not repeat.

1) Launch WeBuilder
2) Open a css file from File Explorer
3) Hit Save - no preview file is created

How did you manage to get one?

1. Opened a CSS document (retail_active.css) using File > Open

2. Hit either ctrl+s or File > Save

3. prev0~.htm is created

4. Every time I save, the number increments by one (prev1~.htm, prev2~.htm, etc)

"Preview documents without saving" is definitely unchecked, and the same thing happens if I use WeBuilder's file explorer.

The CSS file I used can be found here:

http://serve.ryanjohnwilliams.com/misc/ ... active.css

And I opened it from the following directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan Williams\Desktop\Websites\Retail Active\Draft 1

Not sure what further detail I can give.

Please create a flash video of what you did (e.g. using wink) and post me a link, this will be the easiest way.

Also I'd suggest to move this discussion to Support forum.
