WeBuilder 2008 Beta 1 (limited access)

Postby Karlis » Thu Mar 13, 2008 2:07 pm

A little help needed from registered WeBuilder users.

WeBuilder 2008 Beta 1 is made available to registered users. To get the download link, please use the following web link: http://www.blumentals.net/support/lostkey.php

Please note that this version is for testing only and it does expire. This is a debug version, if an error is detected, it will let you send us an error report. Rest assured, Beta 1 will contain bugs and each bug found is a success if you report it to us.

IMPORTANT NOTES
* Beta will be only available for the WeBuilder, other products will come as production releases only.
* Please DO report ONLY bugs, errors and obvious misbehavior (send these to us).
* Please DO NOT report missing features or ask "why my suggestion was not included" (read on for an answer).
* Please DO NOT inquire and ask questions about what is going to come in the full final version or how each exact feature will work. We have very limited resources and support staff is overloaded already, so please give us a bit more time and you will be able to see for yourself.
* Please DO NOT report silly things such as "i do not like the new icon" or "the previous installer was prettier"

Well,

I am sure I am doing something wrong.

I use the form and I got all the links for all the products I already have, but nothing for the Beta. Maybe I have to wait until is manually processed.

Any advise is appreciated,
Regards

Which is?

Seriously, I really never saw an official support email address. Can you share it with me please?

I just used the contact support form in the web page.

Thanks

Nice job guys. The additions to the editor look nice - I really like the highlighting on the surrounding tags - and my first try with SFTP works great with my server (SFTP support is a big deal for me).

I like your product very much and appreciate your hard work.

WeBuilder 2008

Postby kfury77 » Thu Mar 20, 2008 12:20 pm

If anyone else has problems getting the download link for WeBuilder, once you click here http://www.blumentals.net/support/lostkey.php

Please make sure you select WeBuilder 2007 from the form and you will be emailed a link to your WeBuilder 2007 registration info, look further down that email and you'll see the link to WeBuilder 2008 beta version.

I've been happily using the beta all morning and its working great. I **love** the HTML Tag block highlighting. I like the nice little fresh new blue logo too. I'm ready to register and pay for my upgrade!

Just downloaded the beta.

Looking very good so far, and as others have said, the highlighting of the HTML tag blocks and missing tags is greats.
Is it/will it be possible to change the colours used for the highlighting, I would like the missing tag highlight to stand out more prominent.

Only problem I've found so far is that sometimes when the beta is minimized to the taskbar in Windows XP Pro that it will take several mouse clicks to get the window back up. I did at first think that double-clicking would work, but it's very ransom how many times I have to click before the WeBuilder window restores.

Also when it is minimized right-clicking on it in the taskbar and selecting Restore does nothing!

Cheers,
Mike
