Protecting Links

Postby voughtc » Fri Aug 18, 2006 11:02 pm

Program Protector works fine on IE exe file. It does not protect links in email to the internet. My child can access IE when he receives a link in an email. How can I prevent this? I thought your program would password protect all access to whatever program I needed it for.

When you click a link in E-mail program, it does not actually run internet explorer executable, it runs windows explorer executable (in web browsing mode) instead, so it is not technically possible to protect links or internet access with a software designed to protect programs.

If you need to fully restrict internet access, I would recommend our other product - iNet Protector. You can exchange Program Protector for iNet Protector for free. Please contact us via our online support form.
