iNet Protector installation breaks Notepad++ installation

Postby kollo » Sat Sep 22, 2007 2:15 pm

After installing iNet Protector I can no longer run Notepad++ (v4.1.2) properly.

When I start Notepad++ I get the warning message "Load config.xml" failed. When I dismiss the warning message Notepad++ starts, but the icons in the toolbar doesn't display properly. If I have a file open in Notepad++ when exiting the program it crashes with a memory error (The memory could not be "read"). The problems with Notepad++ is only present on the same user account as iNet Protector is installed into.

If I reinstall Notepad++ it seems to fix the problems. When I reinstalled Notepad++ I installed the latest version 4.2.2 instead of the version I had before so it is possible that the update to Notepad++ fix the problems even though I don't think so.

Because of a potential problem with iNet Protector I have now deinstalled and installed iNet Protector with Notepad++ v4.2.2 installed and I don't get the errors in Notepad++ anymore so it seems like the problems might have been caused by Notepad++ v4.1.2
