iNet Protector process [can not be] easily killed

Postby Guest » Fri Feb 18, 2005 5:41 am

Is there anything to prevent a mischievous teenager from opening the Windows Task Manager (Cntl,Alt,Del) and killing the iNet Protector process (thus disabling protection)?

As a comparison, my firewall process (ZoneAlarm Pro) can not be killed by a non-administrator, even in the Windows Task Manager.

According to the following article, I can edit the registry settings in Windows XP to prevent users from opening task manager. I'll give this a try.

iNet Protector core service process CAN NOT be killed even if you manage to kill the tray icon.
