While its easy to type in addresses into the list of allowed sites its not always intuitive or complete. For example, if you add "cnn.com" to the list you will find that the www.cnn.com doesn't load correctly. I think its because cnn brings in other sites (some is content, some is advertising). FYI if you add both cnn.com and cnn.net you will get most of cnn to load but not all of it.
I think what I would like would be a "learn" mode for inet protect. I tell inet "watch me" and I then surf to sites that are to be allowed. Everything that I touch or that is brought in, inet protect adds to its list. By doing this, I'm simply surfing but inet is busy recording this into the exception list(s).
