Google Earth

Postby MaxD » Mon Dec 10, 2007 9:59 pm

Anyone tried Google Earth, loading images for others to view? Just added one recently. The images aren't perfect due to my 'hand held' camera technique (I can post links to sites which have ideas on the perfect panoramas though if anyone likes  ) May try for the pro view next time. Take a look.

You need to have Google Earth installed, not that I need to remind you.

I'll add this as a 'View of the World' for syrupcores new arrival. :)

You don't necessarily need Google Earth. Google Maps will do just fine. In the address bar, just type the URL of the KML file.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en ... h&z=9&om=1

Not sure if the .KML is 100% right though, as it doesn't seem to contain much.

The Google Maps link is interesting, but you definitely need Google Earth to get the full viewing experience. Having said that, the panoramic views on my site (link to the left of the Map view) allows pans and zooms of panoramas not available on Google Earth.

I suggest to compare, download and install Google Earth (free) and click the link again, and see which you prefer, between the map view and Earth view.

For you Google Earth viewing pleasure, here is another Google Earth view courtesy of Scilly Images :) Google Earth panoramic overlay
