Plugin: Project Management

Postby dave » Tue Jan 27, 2015 1:24 pm

Hi,

I am pleased to announce version 1.0 of my Project Management Plugin. It was created for my own use, but I am happy to share it. The reason it was written is because I find myself working on different projects throughout the day, and wanted to re-open the set of files that I had been working on for any particular project. (Yes, I know that you can already save a file list from the 'File' menu, but to me having to save the file somewhere was not as slick as I would have liked.)

Features:
a) Seamlessly save a list of open files for the currently selected project. (it will ignore open files from other projects)
b) Seamlessly open a previously saved list of files for the currently selected project. (existing open files are not affected)
c) Close all files other than those from the currently selected project. (you will be prompted for unsaved files)
d) (c) followed by (b) (in one action)
e) View list of previously saved list of files for the currently selected project.
f) Remove list of previously saved list of files for the currently selected project. (you will be prompted before removal)

Requirements:
None, just install the plugin and use, which can be used directly from the Plugin menu, or alternatively create a new toolbar, and populate it with your chosen options.

Notes:
The plugin does not affect any of your projects or files contained within, or conflict with existing functionality.
IMPORTANT! - It ONLY works on the currently selected project.

I may released updates to the plugin depending on demand.

Possible future upgrades may or may not include,
a) The ability to save multiple (named) sets of files per project.
b) Add or remove individual files to a saved list of files.

Thanks

Dave

Thank you for the plugin!

Edited your post to fix the .zip file - the correct way is to place script files directly in the .zip file instead of the whole project folder.

It installs fine on my WeBuilder 2015. Are you using the 2015 version?

BTW: Very useful plugin when working with projects and multiple files.
Thanks for sharing it.

No, I used the 2015. But I updated the 2014 to 2015 Plugin installed and running now.

Thank you.
