Install issues about xdebug

Postby jPaul » Thu Aug 10, 2023 11:20 pm

Hi Everybody

I'm using
Windows-10 Version 21H1 (build 19043.2364)
Rapid PHP version: 17.7
Preferences > PHP Settings > PHP executable: C:\wamp64\bin\php\php7425xd\php.exe

I have installed xdebug according to the instructions on the Rapid PHP site, but it is unclear if it has installed properly. I do have the PHP > DeBug available, but the STOP; STEP OVER; STEP INTO options are greyed-out and not available.
I hope someone will answer a couple of simple questions for me:

Do I even need WAMP to be using Rapid PHP?
Is there a manual to use this tool? One primary reason for my debug is to watch the value of variables. How do I watch a variable as it changes, like "TotalPrice"?
Can I uninstall xdebug and start over? How?

I hope I have provided enough information for you to suggest how I can start to go forward. Thank you so much for reading even this far.
Many Thanks,

Paul
