Starting to build a website

Postby ralph76 » Wed Jan 19, 2005 7:50 pm

Hello there,

i'm new to HTMLPad and websites, but i decided to build one for me. The first page is online and the first questions arise.

When i want to link documents and or files within a website, i always have to enter the whole "http://www.homepage.at/folder/folder/file.xxx"

Is there a way to avoid this and link data directly? I only made some experience with frontpage before and there it was quite easy, to do this, when it mirrored the content from the website on my harddrive and it was possible to work with "relative" folders...

Can someone give me some general tips, how to set up and start away with HTMLPad?
Cheers, Ralph

Simply go on and use correct relative paths.
