Arial is a proportional font.

... and the editor only supports non-proportional fonts.
You can force it to use a proportional font, but it doesn't like it, and goes all wonky.

I had the same issue because I dislike most of the fixed-witdth fonts. This was almost a deal breaker for me until someone recommended Consolas, a quite nice fixed-witdh font that is designed for this type of environment and is great to look at and work with all day.

It is available for download here:

Hope this makes things better for you.

Dave.

I spent a long time trying different fonts, not only for WeBuilder but also for use with the other code editors we use here.

Consolas was one I tried, but just didn't work for me!
I finally settled on a font called Raize Font.

Yep, thats a nice font too but I prefer Consolas at the end of the day; I just couldn't get used to Raize.

The Raize font looks a little too squished for me. The Consolas isn't that clear on my screen either (the lowercase y appears quite blurred). Think I'll stick with ol' faithful Courier!

Another font worth checking out is Damien Guard's Envy Code R:

Hm... should we set up a font-library for the editor. this might be useful... I could snatch some of the freely available fonts and put them under our download section. What do you think?
