why cant i choose variable spaced fonts?
were not living in the 18th century anymore.

This is bacause the program is built on a components that can work with fixed-size fonts only. The replacement of this component would cause too much code rewrite which is not cost efficient, as this functionality is not hughly requested.

you know, it doesnt work properly with italics
the slanted corners get cut off
also, bolded words are not bold at the last letter

Please use Courier New for the best performance. By the way it is specially designed for code editing.

you should complain to components maker
my italics get cut off too

courier new is so 70s.

No use complaining to component vendor, they have cut the support some time ago, so I'll have to fix the mess myself :) This is going to be a tough one, thus I can not promise quick resolution, but will try to do my best.
