HTMLPad, Intellisense and HTA files

Postby Guest » Thu Apr 28, 2005 1:06 am

I use HTMLPad 2004 and now 2005 as my primary development tool for writing HTA applications.

Even though the file structure is nearly the same as an HTM file, I cannot seem to get Intellisense to work.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a product limitation?

Thanks in advance!

Hey, tell me more about HTA as I want to know more...

Auto complete should work with HTA, but you must add HTA to HTML files list in the Preferences. Have you done it?

HTA seems to be in the HTML list by default.

HTA's, AKA HyperText Application, are a way to use Internet Explorer (or other browsers) to simulate a "real" windows application. Many shops use them extensively for system management functions but they can be used for much, much more.

The following is a link to Microsoft's HTA Developer's Center.

Did you ever do anything with the info I submitted in my prior post?

Thank you, I visited the site and read about the HTA. It seems like HTA is almost the same HTML with eception that it has a separate / own application window.
