HTMLPad Preview

Postby pinkie » Mon May 02, 2005 11:28 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is anyway of using the preview facility in HTMLPad with the original filename, instead of prev0~.php? I have some php code which checks the filename and it doesn't work properly if the temporary filename is used - makes development a pain.

Thanks in advance.

Chris.

Thanks for the reply. I have used HTMLPad (and more recently WeBuilder) for a couple of years and like it very much. The temporary filename issue is just a niggle which when sorted would make development that bit easier.

Thanks,

Chris.

Ok, I have finished working on this (file is not yet uploaded but I hope to do it in a few days).

Here is how it will work. Temporary files will be used for preview only if there are any unsaved changes. So to preview using original file you will just have to click Save before hitting Preview.
