Rapid PHP: How to enable split screen?

Postby tritowntim » Sun Jun 26, 2005 4:13 pm

Hello,

I downloaded the evaluation version of Rapid PHP. I am interested in the product primarily because of the split screen preview capability... however I cannot figure out how to use this feature...

Please advise.

Split screen mode is not available for PHP, only for plain HTML files. You would get too many parse errors due to automatic refresh every few seconds, while writing PHP in split screen.

On the other hand... while writing this reply I got an Idea! PHP split screen could be there, but without the automatic refresh... How about that?

Good idea. But can you also include a way to let it periodically refresh, please? I know that you'd get a alot of parsing errors while you're editing the php-code, but it really doesn't bother me. As soon as you finish your piece of code, it shows up correctly (or atleast it should if you did it right ).

That's my wish for the next version of the best php-editor out there :)

OK, I think we can manage this in one of the nearest updates.
