Very slow with PHP variables

Postby paulthecoder » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:57 am

I'm using WeBuilder 2014 and have several projects set up that includes the WordPress wp-admin and wp-include folders in the project libraries so that the functions display in the intellisense popups.

However, I have found that when I start a variable $ and pause my typing the application locks up for almost a minute, presumably it is trying to process and list all the variables in the project, once the application recovers no popup shows.

I assume Wordpress is humongous. You can improve autocomplete by adding some of the folders to Excluded folders list (Project -> Edit Current Project -> Excluded Files and Folders, then Library Paths -> Refresh Library Data).

I wouldn't really know which folders to exclude to get all the core functions. It would be nice to have an option that disables the intellisense popup for variables.
