I've just come back to a project I created with WeBuilder 2014 (12.2.0.150) after a few months and now find that it is nigh on unusable if the Internet Explorer preview option is selected. This would be fine but for the fact I noticed my site no longer renders in IE properly so I need this preview in order to make sure I've got things working properly. If you open pcanytime.co.nz/index.htm in IE then in Chrome, Opera or Firefox you'll see what I mean. This is odd as it rendered fine last time I played around with editing the site/project a few months ago, which leads me to think perhaps IE has had an update in the meantime and it has broken things on my machine. No doubt I will be the only one on the planet affected.
While I'm not yet sure what the problem is with the way I've done the tables/borders on the site (yes, I know, I'm no coding guru so without doubt there will be a superior way of doing it) but for now I'm stuck with it. It's probably a border-collapse: collapse issue or something along those lines but regardless of what's causing the site to not render, I'm more concerned with why WeBuilder now gags as soon as I load the index.htm file into it.
To replicate I load the file then switch between Chrome and IE previews; WeBuilder hangs for 30-40 seconds before becoming usable. This happens on all the html pages I've tried in my site. It doesn't happen with CSS files. Even closing that index.htm file hangs WB for the same 30-40 seconds.
I haven't played around more with it due to time but if anyone has any ideas as to why this happens I'm all ears. I'm using Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate with the usual software utilities installed. Nothing is out of the ordinary and most tellingly nothing has changed (that I am aware of) since I last had this file open for editing a few months ago. My Windows does not update automatically and the only things I know have updated is Firefox, Opera and the usual flash player stuff - there are no flash or other plugins required for my site. Thanks, Dave.
