Selecting a function block for cut/paste with code collape

Postby whytek » Wed May 06, 2015 9:17 pm

In RapidPHP 2008, one used to be able to select a function block in PHP by code collapsing the function and then "un-collapsing".

By doing this, the entire function would remain selected and it was possible to copy or cut for pasting elsewhere. I used to use this a lot when re-organizing code.

I recently noticed the long awaited support for code collapse and code explorer for Javascript in RapidPHP ( :D thanks!) and return to using it, upgrading to RapidPHP 2015 (13.2.0.164)

But now the functionality described above no longer works. When I un-collapse a code section, only the first line remains selected. :(
I notice "Select between brackets", but it's not quite the same thing.

Is there any way to reactivate this old functionality?
Many thanks!

Unfortunately no, there is no way to re-activate it, I'm sorry.

In that case, for me it would be great help if the Edit->Select Tag Block function also worked for code blocks.

Hopefully this can be implemented in a future version.

thanks!

Have you looked at the plugin API?
You probably could do something like that using a plugin.

I just made a plugin for selecting code blocks (functions).
Maybe it will solve your "problem" ;)

You can find it here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=6662
