File Explorer State Lost After Close

Postby BootBlock » Mon Apr 11, 2016 8:57 am

I've looked through the Preferences window a few times to ensure I didn't miss a setting, but 2016 no-longer seems to remember the collapsed/expanded state of the File Explorer TreeView nodes for a project when WeBuilder is restarted. At least, I think the state was remembered in 2015? If not, feel free to move this post to the Requests area.

A(nother) feature request: having Activate Folder of Current File toggleable so the File Explorer automatically follows the currently active document tab.

Edit: Activate Folder of Current File doesn't appear to have a corresponding entry within the Keyboard Shortcuts window.

WeBuilder doesn't and didn't remember these states but it will remember the last folder that you had selected and will expand to it.

I'll +1 the relevant suggestion about following the currently active document tab.

This action doesn't have a keyboard shortcut action because it's a local action of File Explorer pane. We could work around this though so I'm adding this suggestion.

The new update (build 183) has:
1) action Activate Folder of Current File that can be assigned shortcut to
2) plugin that makes File Explorer automatically follow the active document when switching tabs: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=6916
