WB2018/2020: XYplorer as default for saving files

Postby krotsky » Tue Nov 26, 2019 8:57 pm

How can I have WeBuilder 2018/2020 use XYplorer as the default file manager when using 'Save As' to save a file?
Both WB2018 and 2020 in Dark Flat show Windows 10 File Explorer in dark background and white file names in the right side panel but white in the left (folder) panel with white folder names making the folder names unreadable. Only when the cursor covers them do they show in white text with a light blue background which is not suitable for scanning folders quickly.
And would WB2018/2020 actually use XYplorer, or is the file manager used in WB actually WB's own file manager?
Any ideas?

WeBuilder uses the same default file manager that your Windows uses. If it's XYplorer, then that's what is used. In dark mode, WeBuilder replaces all system colors with the colors of its skin. Unfortunately we have no way to selectively turn it off in Common Dialogs. Apparently XYplorer mixes system colors (e.g. "default background color") with simple colors (e.g. "black" instead of "default text color"). In this sample, if "default background color" is black, that would make everything black and unreadable.
