PHP debug locks up with debug tools

Postby Lee » Wed Feb 12, 2020 1:06 pm

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or there is a problem with Webuilder.

The issue is when there are more than a few arrays - step through the code with the watch window open, after about 15 steps debug locks up and Webuilder needs to be restarted.

To replicate - create about 20 arrays like below and try stepping through the code, it will stop and lockup after about line 15 steps and won't reach the "echo"

$var1 = ["a1", "a2", "a3", "a4", "a5", "a6", "a7", "a8", "a9", "a10"];
$var2 = ["a1", "a2", "a3", "a4", "a5", "a6", "a7", "a8", "a9", "a10"];
etc ...
$var20 = ["a1", "a2", "a3", "a4", "a5", "a6", "a7", "a8", "a9", "a10"];

echo "Hello";

This works perfect without the debug tools open.
But as soon as you try to use a "watch", for example, then it locks up.

Tried with all of the below.

Webuilder 2016
Webuilder 2020 trial
Windows 7 64
Xampp older and latest version
PHP 5.6 and 7
xdebug
tried various Webuilder settings, mapping enabled & disabled, external & internal server.

Can anybody replicate this?

Thanks in advance
Lee
