HTMLPad 2006

Postby websquad » Sat Dec 17, 2005 6:39 pm

I'm new to Blumentals software, and have downloaded HTMLPad 2005 on a 30-use trial basis. I note that there is a "fire sale" going on now, with the product available at half price.

Does Blumentals come out with a new version every year (thus, HTMLPad 2006)? If so, when would the new product become available?

Is HTML Tidy the only way to validate HTML?

Is there a way to validate CSS1 and/or CSS2?

Will the next CSS tutorial cover CSS2?

Thanks ...

Hi!

We try to release a new major version each year to keep the software modern and up to date. Currently HTML Tidy is the only way to validate HTML, however in version 2006 you will have access to online W3 validator and in the future we plan to integrate with CSE Validator. CSS can be validated with W3 CSS validator which is accesisble from CSS menu. Version 2006 will introduce simple built-in CSS validator.

As for the tutorial, you really do not need special tutorial for CSS2, as the basics of CSS1 and CSS2 are the same.

Version 2006 will be available in the mid/late January 2006 [the most likely].
