Mac (Final Cut) HD .mov video files to SSF - quality issue

Postby PerfectMedia » Wed Jan 09, 2008 4:47 am

I am still awaiting my username acceptance on the forum but I need a quick answer on your product. I have the trial version and I am really impressed. I really think it'll be a great product to produce the screensavers I need.

But here's my problem.

I shoot HD videos and edit them using Final Cut HD Express. I have saved them as Quicktime .mov files and then even converted them to AVI files in Quicktime. When I input them into SSF and run the preview, the quality of the video is really poor. What settings/resolutions should I use to optimize the quality of the video.

The screensaver Factory does not modify your video when displaying it.
So you need to find a good tool for conversion (or set up correctly the one you are using already). I have not used the Quicktime for conversion, so can not suggest you much.
I did some google, and found this site "QuickTime (.mov) to .avi Conversion Guide using QuickTime Pro 7". Might be helpful:
