Created SCR pegs CPU's at 100%

Postby seligdon » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:00 pm

I created a small screensaver, that is only 3 images using ScreenSaver Wonder. When I launch the .scr it pegs the CPU on any machine its running on.

If I run these same 3 images using the default windows custom screensaver (use Pictures from folder) there is no issue. Unfortunately I need these images in a .scr format so that I can deploy it via group policy. Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue.

Machines are all cori5/7, 4GBDDR3, win7 enterprise x64

Higher CPU use can occur during transition effects. If this is an issue then turn off transition effects in your screensaver.

Hi. Does this mean that it will use up a lot of CPU utilization for a short period of time "transition". Or does it do that while the whole process is running?

Only during the transition animations.
