How to upgrade and who is eligible for a free upgrade?

You can upgrade from our website.
Upgrade to WeBuilder 2010
Upgrade to Rapid PHP 2010
Upgrade to HTMLPad 2010
Upgrade to Rapid CSS 2010

Customers who ordered previous version within May 2009 - Sept 2009 are eligible for a free upgrade. Use our online Lost Key Recovery form to retrieve your key.

Keeping your old settings.

To keep your old settings, there are two ways:

1) Simply do not uninstall version 2008. Leave it installed and almost all of your settings (except the default layout) will be kept automatically. Both version 2008 and 2010 use same settings storage.

2) If you want to uninstall version 2008. First backup version 2008 settings, then uninstall it, then install version 2010 and after that import the backed up settings.

To keep your layouts, it is recommended to save your layout as "My Layout" or something other than default, you will have to manually locate the appropriate My Layout.lay/.dok files, back them up and after installation of the new version, put them with the newly installed layout files.

Your comments are welcome

Your feature suggestions and support requests are very welcome (please post them in appropriate forums, this one is for announcements).

Roadmap for the future

We shall keep updating the product, fixing bugs and adding new features. Some of the major features we plan to add in the future:
* Improve FTP/SFTP and publishing further
* Explore innovative usability improvements
* Improve text searching furthermore
* Improve multi-monitor support
* Add support for new languages and libraries (e.g. Smarty etc.) OR include possibility for users to add support for their own languages
* Plugin system

We still have a huge list of suggestions and feature requests to be done.

Hi

Where I can find the link to upgrade the purchased copy of WeBuilder?
On the site is says: "If you want to download or update purchased copy of the software, do not download this trial version. Please use replacement request form instead."
I did it but I just received SN - not download link

This is wrong. With version 2010 trial CAN be activated. I hope you can forgive the confusion. This system is new to us too ;)

I've been waiting for this!

Has there been any change in the way debugging is done? I.E. debugger setup?

I'm a little confused. You list improved multi-monitor support on your roadmap here, and don't mention it as being improved in your list of changes but on the what's new page for webuilder it says you have improved it. Is it improved and you'd like to do more? What is the difference?

Do Auto Complete or Code Explorer understand JSON notation yet? If so that is a must-update for me. Probably a #1 reason for me. #2 would be a warning on close all!!!! #3 would be if WeBuilder would now show up on the right taskbar for me when using MultiMon for my multiple monitor support. #4 would be if it didn't crash like 2009 did (not very often, but it did happen about once a month or so. oddly enough it'd ask if I wanted to restart, cancel, continue or whatever and if I just hit continue I could keep working perfectly fine). #5 would be the plug-in system described earlier. I'd love to have Code Explorer work for Perl, and to have the Auto Complete/color commentator understand Smarty.

Thank you for your comment!

Multi-monitor support is improved gradually. We have done improvements but more must be done. JSON is partially supported. Some things that might have been probable causes of crashes have been fixed, 2010 is more stable than 2008.

p.s. Please follow the forum gudelines and post your suggestions to the suggestions forum (by replying to existing topics or by creating new for newly suggested features), otherwise they will be missed.
