Repeating animation

Postby stever » Fri Dec 10, 2010 7:20 am

I have set up a GIF animation with 81 frames. I set the "Repeat" selection in "Animation Properties" to "Repeat 1 times". However, the animation keeps repeating (looping) in the preview and doesn't ever stop. What am I doing wrong?

PS: The lowest value that I can set for the 'repeat value' is 1. Shouldn't it really be able to repeat "0" times?

I couldn't figure it out so I just made the last frame duration 32767.

That's not a bad solution :)
But actually setting it to Repeat 1 time(s) will animate it once in web browser. Maybe "repeat" was not the best choice of words, thanks for pointing that out.

Has anyone figured out a fix for this besides making the last frame duration long? Even though I set it for repeat of 1 or 2 times, it continuously repeats without stopping. Making the last frame duration long won't work in this situation.

Which browser do you preview in? I just set "Play 1 times" and previewed in both Firefox and Chrome and in both cases the animation stopped at the last frame and did not loop.
