Just one question, can the beta be installed on the same PC as WeBuilder 2010 without causing any problems to 2010?

Cheers

Normally is true. I just installed in another directory and have both versions (not at the same time) working.

First thing I noticed after just launched:

1) Took all my details from WB2010 (nice! I didn't have to import anything)
2) New buttons in the toolbar.

Testing now...

Having something like a Mantis bug tracker for the beta testers would be nice. Im reporting bugs that are so obvious that they are probably reported by everyone.
Recently the 3D-Coat developer has installed a public bug tracker and it is really working out great! (see: http://www.3d-coat.com/mantis/)

I like to know some specifics of the new features/bug fixes in order to test in an more effective way.

I understand you have a lot of work but this can be helpful to all beta testers.

Hi, sorry for late replies..

nutuo
Means that I click in several places both in the code and the preview and just once I get the synchronized screen.
But, I have to try again more deeply. I'll let you know.
The sync feature will work better with next update (the positioning should find correct cursor/preview focus place better). The crashing should also be gone.

What does it mean ANSI files can now be auto-detected as UTF-8 without BOM?
Can I store several files with one click SAve All to FTP and define encoding?
Old version does nto support Save All to FTP
ANSI files can now be auto-detected as UTF-8 without BOM means that files that are ANSI will be opened as UTF-8 without BOM. If you enter any non-ANSI character, the file will be saved as UTF-8 without BOM, causing no problems (if it would have been saved as ANSI).

What does "In All folders" do in Project Management -> Exclude files and folders. I can't seem to get it to do anything.
Thanks for pointing out, this will be fixed.

When using a comparison tool "Compare with..." under tools throws up "An error occurred in the application" everytime. Although I can click continue on the popup and it seems to work fine after.
Thank you, a fix will be available with next update.

Meantime, I looked but didn't find a sub-directory where they are stored so I could look at their format and tweak what I had recorded.
I was hoping to find how to get rid of the extraneous keystrokes I enter as I record them. So far all I've been able to do is record strings and enter them by assigning a key to the macro. The library already provides this ability and I can't see what else macros can do. I am hoping they can call menu items, replicate keyboard actions and, maybe, even mouse movement/clicks?
It is not true that Library can do the same that Macros can do. Can you add some word at the end (or middle of the line, or other specific location) for lines 1, 2, 3 , 4, ..., each line in your file? Currently there are no Macro editing features, and it won't come in nearest future because the internals of the Macro functionality are quite complex. However, all suggestions are welcome.

Kind regards,
Gatis
