Dual Frames And Grouping

Postby Limewire » Sun Jun 12, 2011 3:23 pm

Hi All,
I have this situation whereby I like your software but have found a nuggling gliche.

I have a spinning object and want to place some still object or text followed by another spinning object and group them so I can have an image editor rotate them any which way I like without losing my spinning discs.

It goes:
Spinning image - text - spinning image.

But I want this grouped into one.

How do I do this?

So far Easy Gif only allowas one set of frames to be displayed at a time.

Love the Easy's ability to turn one image into a series of frames that can easily be rotated or whatever.

I await responses.

Sorry, but I'm not that good at visualizing. Can you post some images to help me understand what you're trying to create? :)

The image is below:
The way it is displayed below is the look I am trying to achieve as one image which is rotatable using any image viewer.

Image THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE Image

With the wording saying 'this is how it should be done' being right between the two images and not on them.
I want the two images to still spin but the wording to stay still and I want to group them so I don't lose the spin of the disks when I rotate them all 90 or 45 degrees.

If you can show me how to do this, I will have no option but to buy a copy of this software. First impressions of EasyGif are good and your quick response helps.

:)
Thanks.

You can do it but there isn't a single button for that :)

Here's how I just did it:

1) Open 2 GIF Animator instances. Open the disk animation in one of them and create 4 empty frames in the other of them in the size you need. I also removed their backgrounds and set their delay to 1.
2) Click on 1st disk frame. Using selection tool, click "Select All", then copy
3) Click on 1st empty animation frame. Click Paste, select Paste In Image. Then paste again and move the pasted image to the right side of the frame, to get the 2nd disk.
4) Do the same for the other 3 frames
5) Using insert text tool, add some text
6) Click "Copy to all frames" to copy the text

Done
2) Click on 1st disk frame. Using selection tool, click "Select All", then copy

Copied

3) Click on 1st empty animation frame. Click Paste, select Paste In Image. Then paste again and move the pasted image to the right side of the frame, to get the 2nd disk.

I clicked paste in the image of the first frame and found my disk in frame 2 which now leaves me with 4 empty frames plus the pasted spinning disk image. I paste again and I get the spinning disk in frame 3 now alongside 4 empty frames
4) Do the same for the other 3 frames

Done that
5) Using insert text tool, add some text

Is this the created animated text on the left or the TEXT tool in the edit box on the right next to the preview box?
I placed the text into frame 1 and it places this into another frame.

6) Click "Copy to all frames" to copy the text

I clicked on the frame with the text, selected all and copied to all frames as you dscribed. Now all my spinning disks on EG 2nd instance have been replaced.
I click on preview and am not given what you have placed below.

Lastly how do I get the combined effect from the two instances of Easy Gif?
I am still using my trial version here.
I know I have messed up somewhere.

Another question,
to get what is above will I need the personal licence or the commercial licence?

And can I open two or even three instances of EasyGif on the same pc - I think this is a silly question as I opened two instances whilst still on trial mode :?

Any license is fine, even trial. And you can open as many instances as you want.

I think you might be having trouble with step 2 and 3. I made some screenshots.

The below is as close so far as I was able to get with some testing.
Your pictures really helped. :)

Dimensions - I guess I needed to set up the dimensions in the frames before pasting.
What dimensions did you use?
Forgive me for asking so many questions.
Silly question - testing said I change this to 400 x 100 or whatever banner size I decide to use in future.

Another thing as you will see below, my spinning disks are not the same size as the original.
How do I keep original size when copying and pasting.

I used 300x85.

Your image is resized by your photo album. If you click on it you will see it in its original size.

A Few Questions:

How do I adjust the position and size of an already set frame?

Once I have placed some text in a picture, how do I adjust that? For example, typing error?

When I have added in some text, how do I turn them vertical?
Example:
Limewire here is horizontal

L
i
m
e
w
i
r
e

h
e
r
e

i
s

v
e
r
t
i
c
a
l

And can I get EasyGif to pick another paint editor program other than Microsoft Paint which it chooses by default?

Below is what I have learned from Aivars so far.
Thankfully I didn't have to ask how to find the transparency tool :D

Image

What I'd love to do with this image is turn it 45 degrees and 90 degrees in whichever direction I choose with the wording kept one after the other as I have described above . I have included an image taken from EG below. Say I wanted this image slanted to the left or right? How do I do this with EG with my spinnining disks at both the top and the bottom of it?

Unfortunately due to GIF format, text has to be converted to image so basically you can't edit it afterward (the textual information is lost). We could keep it if we used some proprietary format but then you wouldn't be able to put your animations in web pages etc.

Adjusting frame size (without resizing animation contents) is currently not possible (unless you create a new animation in the correct size and then copy the frames). We are definitely planning to address this problem in the next version. To adjust position you can select the parts of the frame and move them around.

To replace Paint, from main menu select Tools > Options and open Tools tab.

That's disappointing.

Are version updates free with Blemental?
Say I buy a copy now and you update my current version a year later, will I get the newer version free or will I have to pay some kind of upgrade?

Minor updates are free but major upgrades are for money. Major versions take a lot of time and effort to make and thanks to the upgrades we can break even and be motivated to make the products better according to customer feedback.
