what do I getmore when I buy a license

Postby bhennink » Thu Aug 14, 2014 7:29 pm

Hi I am curious, What will I get more if I buy a licence.
I see some locked templates but I am in doubt if I need those.
I Think I can come around by formatting items
I see some locks on items but I cannot see what I will get?

Is there a checkbox option to center the menu?
I saw this http://forums.blumentals.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=5885
But I could not find where to change / edit the code. Is it in CSS?
And if I edit that manually I need to redo that on every change?
I see some effects but what are those?

I am not using the menu commercially but might help a friend improving hist website Must I buy a license in such situation?

I'm assuming you're talking about Easy CSS Menu Maker because that's the only one that has free version. If you can create what you need with the free version and you're not using it commercially then by all means feel free to keep using it for free.

The problem with centering is that there are several ways to center HTML element (such as menu) into another element and the best method to choose depends on the rest of the page structure. The most common way is to add margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; to the element that you want to center, but if your page is not standards compliant or uses clever tricks, this might not work, which is why we haven't added the checkbox.
To avoid adding these margins every time you export the menu, you can place them into .css file or <style> block, e.g. #<menu-wrapper-id-here> { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; }. You can just ask here or write to our support, send us the link and we'll help you with centering in your page.

Hi
Yes the menu maker:) I love most of it.
I did some CSS menu in the past myself but this is much nicer. :D
And I am thinking of buying an license because my friends website is on the edge. A hobby that might grow out to make some business;)

I tried the margin trick, but I want the menu buttons centered and the menu bar full width.
With the margins there also comes a max size clipping the menu bar at the edges.
At least that is what happened when I tried that.
So the buttons centered on a full width menu bar.

I see. For full width menu with centered buttons a checkbox is possible so I'll add this suggestion to the suggestions list.

For now to make such menu do 2 things:
1) Check "Full width" in Top Menu -> Menu Size panel - this makes the menu full width
2) Add following css:
#<menu-wrapper-id-here> { text-align: center } - this centers the buttons

OK,Thanks,
I will try that.
I am considering buying the pro version. BTW.
It is just the moment in time that I want to so;) I am not sure how long I get updates if I buy.
I am not a real commercial user but just working on some friends website to improve usabitily and looks.
I am also thinking about fluid / responsive. I saw you are also working on that?

I already used one of ' your' menus in a fluid layout for my personal website and there the menu works great!

Yup, we already released the version that can handle fluidity by multi-lining the buttons when there's not enough width.

If you buy regular version, you receive 6 months of free upgrades. If you buy extended version then it's 3 years. You will get unlimited free updates for version 4 (bugfixes and minor stuff) regardless of which version you buy.
