closing tags in HTML

Post by jdjdjd »

When I started using HTMLPad and I typed a tag, HTMLPad would automatically insert a corresponding closing tag. I turned that off because I don't like to have that done automatically. Is there a way to ask HTMLPad to close a tag manually (preferably bound to a keyboard shortcut)?

Also, if I decide I want to turn back on automatic tag closing, how can I do this? I went through the various options but didn't find anything there.

Thanks...

Hello,

I don't know of a shortcut key to close HTML tags.

But the option (in WeBuilder, I guess HTMLPad is the same) to turn it back to automatic is:
Options -> Preferences -> Language Options -> HTML -> Auto Complete HTML Tags

Cheers
Mike
