When I make an animation using high quality "png" images,The animation always comes out real dull and distorted looking. Is there a way to make high quality animations?

I am using the button wizard,I can make a button but I can not make the background color black. I tried the set background,color replace,set transparency still nothing.???????????????????????///I'm lost
