You are probably right, that SVN would help us in terms of version control, etc, but it does not address my main requirement. However I've never used SVN before and wouldn't know where to begin in setting up an internal SVN repo, so please correct me if I'm wrong. We're HTML developers, not software ...

I second this first one. It would be awesome to be able to upload a multiple selection of files at once.In the File Explorer and Project file viewer can we PLEASE enable multiple file selection - this is a real annoyance only being able to select one file at a time...
