Re: Webuilder: display boundaries, margin and padding visual

Hi First of all I'm glad to read that you understand what it is I'm after. In regards to x-ray - I know and I also use it, how I find x-ray a bit cumbersome to use as it on display information about a selected element and hence it does not provide an instant overview of all element on a page. Also ...

Webuilder: display boundaries, margin and padding visually

Hi I would like to suggest a feature which makes it possible to display the boundaries of elements on along with magin(s) and padding on a page visually. Dreamveawer has this feature and I find it to be really cool as it helps when one want to get a quick overview of what is on a page and if there ...

I'd like to add that if they implement this, then they might as well addd this feature for other tags as well.

Re: CSS blocks folding

Sorry but a newbie here. When we say folding between "{ }", what advantage does this give us? Probably a very short CSS document to look at as we'll only see the selectors (.class, #id etc.) I can't imagine that it would seriously harm anyone if this feature was implemented at some point, so a +1 ...

Re: suggestion: highlighting in CSS

I like this suggestion. For now you can use the CSS parser by vaegas: http://forums.blumentals.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=6024 - one of the things supported is different class/id coloring. Hi Thank you for acknowledging the potential of my suggestion - I think it would be a great help for newbies and ...

suggestion: highlighting in CSS

Hi I was sitting and writing some CSS and HTML the other day and when I executed the code I was missing some text, so I went through the code to figure out what I had done wrong - this took me quite a while to find the source of the problem (an rather embarrassing one ), I turned out that the ...

Suggestion: stop a line of code from being executed

Hi I think it would be really nice if it was possible to stop a line of code from being executed when I'm making a CSS document. I have seen this feature in other editors and can see no reason why WB2014 shouldn't have this feature also. I have made this small illustration so you can see what I mean ...

Re: [WB2014] difference in preview html/css tab

After you select your file, click on the arrow next to Generate Preview File and select it. I don't know why that doesn't happen automatically, I'll have to ask. Hi 1. I opened the preview tab in my stylesheet.css tab 2. I clicked the "open preview file" icon (the folder icon) and browsed to the ...

Re: Viewing source code of a page - WB2014 is a bit intrusiv

Maybe you've changed it from Internet Explorer? Nonetheless, here's a pretty good guide for restoring the source viewer manually: http://www.wiredprairie.us/blog/index.php/archives/741 Hi I can say for sure that i haven't changed anytihng myself ! In this time of writing I can ay that I did a re ...

Re: [WB2014] difference in preview html/css tab

You need to click this button http://kaitnieks.com/images/previewfile.png and select the html file that uses CSS that you are editing. Hi Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, however, clicking on the folder icon opens a window with an empty folder ! Here is the path: C:\Users\Henrik ...

Re: [WB2014] difference in preview html/css tab

Yes, when you preview HTML file, you see the HTML file, but when you preview CSS file, it usually shows just a list of CSS selector previews (unless you have explicitly selected other file to be used as a preview when previewing CSS). Hi I just knew that there was more to it ! As I'm not very ...

Re: WB2014: CSS color scheme - possible bug

Please note that color schemes are set for each file type separately (not for each language). So to change CSS colors in CSS file, you have to edit CSS, but to change CSS colors inside HTML file you have to modify HTML colors. Hi Karlis Thank you for explaining. I can understand the reason why it ...

Re: Viewing source code of a page - WB2014 is a bit intrusiv

There was a checkbox during installation that said "Set as Internet Explorer source viewer". You can undo your selection from WeBuilder main menu Options -> Preferences -> External Tools -> Integration. Uncheck "Replace Internet Explorer source viewer". The checkbox is un-checked - I haven't ...

Re: WB2014: CSS color scheme - possible bug

Did you modify CSS colors by selecting Language combobox to CSS first? No, I just scrolled down and found the CSS wanted to modify on the list if this was the wrong way of doing it is my fault, however, I thought the combobox was used for filtering the list - ie. only HTML related or only CSS ...
