change password in trial version
This sounds like the exact problem I have!
I installed and then uninstalled the software, then a day later, reinstalled the software (all trial versions) to reevaluate it and now there is a password attached to the service that I never set!
I can stop and disable the service - without using the password.
I can then kill the running process - without using the password.
I can now surf the net anywhere I want to!
Yet, I can't uninstall the software -
I can then, restart the process from the Start Menu and low and behold, I can now set a new password and do all the other Setup functions. I spent a good 30 to 60 minutes entering service names, web addresses and IPs after I thought I had set a new password.
I was very disappointed when I restarted the service and the deus ex machina password clamped down like a hammer and all the work I had done was obliterated!
This looks like a promising piece of software but this evenings experience was a bad waste of my time.
There is clearly a severe problem with the uninstall routine. Is it possible that it never removes the service?? I still have log entries from the first installation too.
I have sent an email to support because I need to be able to uninstall this software if I chose not to buy it.
