Crashes with TextShaper.dll

Postby robertc » Tue Feb 13, 2024 3:20 pm

I am suddenly getting crashes of Webuilder 2022 (17.7.0.248) running Windows 11 home (Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631) relating to system32\textshaping.dll (10.0.22621.3085) which seems to have been updated on 24/1/24.
I've checked that the file exists and is the latest and SFC doesn't report any problems.
Has anybody else had similar problems?
thanks
Robert

As far as I can figure out, TextShaper.dll is for displaying emojis, which WeBuilder doesn't do. Please make sure that everything is fine with the DLL because when I was trying to figure out what TextShaper.dll is for, I noticed that some malware mask themselves as name of this DLL.
