How to build and add a custom programming language

Postby reneuend » Wed Feb 26, 2020 1:00 pm

I would like to build and add a custom programming language (for Unibasic(Unidata DB)).
Is there a way to do this in Webuilder? VBS comes the closest, but there are KeyWords and nuances that are different. Example: Unibasic uses an asterisk (*) not a single-quote (') for comments.

Thanks for any suggestions!

It is possible, but unfortunately the definition files are in a format that isn't exactly user-friendly.
There's some documentation found here: http://help.blumentals.net/webuilder/cu ... rs_doc.htm
And an old thread here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3644&p=13324&hilit=Token+state#p13324

Take a look in the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\WeBuilder 2020\data\parsers" (Or other location where you have installed Webuilder)
Then open the file "vbsparser.dat" in WeBuilder (Might want to make a copy of it if you are going to modify it)

If you success in making a new parser, please share it at viewforum.php?f=33
