How I can activate German language?

Post by turicon »

Hello Karlis,

I'm a long year and faithful customer and a content user of your products. Today, after 3 years (patient) waiting, I read on your website, WeBuilder 2008 is now available with German language support! I'm happy and upgrade immediately from RapidPHP to WeBuilder 2008. And now, I don't find a option to switch the language. I'm blind? Or is this a joke?

Please help me!

Best greetings from Germany,
Turicon

WeBuilder 2007 is available in German language long time already, please write to support[at]blumentals.net for download info.

WeBuilder 2008 will become available hopefully in approximately one month - as soon as most of the new bugs are fixed and the final release of English version is out.

Sh**, I and my bad english....
Thank you very much, your editors are the best, what I ever see! Easy to use, very stably and much flexibly.

BTW: WeBuilder run under Ubuntu/Hardy Heron with wine "out of the box"! Here the result of a first test: The Multi-Clipboard and the find/replace functions don't work. Project, FTP and all of the editor features working good. For the internal preview, WeBuilder download automaticaly a plugin(?) and works. The interface are ok, only many of the icons are black or have a black background. Do you have an idea, what I can do? Have you a list of all used Windows-dll's? Then I can test the original librarys.

*lol* this is Ubuntu ;-)

Seriously: I have a complete new installed Ubuntu "Hardy Heron" with Samba, Apache, MySQL, PHP, no other extras. Then I installed wine over the console: "apt-get install wine -y". Current is version 0.9.59. Then I start the installer of WeBuilder and how I say, the most functions and I had no problem with the installation. Nevertheless, the best way is with a virtual machine and XP! But, waiting a while, I read, Google powered wine and in 3-4 months come a new and better version. (I hope  )

If a dialog is displayed, unless you understand English very well, its not clear what the dialog box means.

Ideally, all messages should be in a languages file, so its easy to swop the languages around, and translate them into other languages.

I do apologize big time, the German version is delayed. Why? Because we had to re-make our website design and launch Knowledge Base to be able to deliver better customer support and these projects took too much time. I'll be working on German WeBuilder 2008 very soon, in the mean time version 2007 is available in German language. Please contact our support if you need it.
