"Wrap at end" checkbox request

Post by Boofo »

I would like to request that the "Wrap at end" checkbox in the Search -> Find ->Direction area of the Search window remember if it has been checked or not. I use that all the time and am still trying to get used to having to recheck it when I open up WeBuilder. I know it is a rather small and unimportant request, but that is one of the things I miss from my old editor.

+1 on that suggestion, actually... saving any of the search checkbox states between startups would be useful.

I agree, but I didn't want to act too greedy. ;)

But now that you mention it, I like your idea better.

I didn't know that, sorry.

Let's hope this time it doesn't fall on deaf ears.

I don't think it fell on deaf ears, there are probably more pressing things to be sorted that this is all.

True, but this is a relatively easy fix to do.

I'm guessing it's not. They've been being bugged about this and related find box issues for a couple of years now. If it was easy, I'm guessing it would be done.

My wife is a coder and she flinches when people tell her 'it is only a few lines of code'. It might be a can of worms trying to mess with that function; we have no way of knowing. If it was that simple, they would have implemented it as they have with many other 'simple' feature requests. My guess is that it is on the list and will get done when they have time/space.

I have yet to find a good editor that doesn't have this already done so I'm guessing the back burner just hasn't been lit yet is all. Anyone got a match?

Heh. I'm sure it will get done, as will 'remembering' all find variables. If we make enough noise Karlis will chime in and let us know what the deal is with it.
