"Save as" should save in current project folder
I find it annoying that when I'm working on an existing project and create a new page I have to navigate to the projects folder before saving. It would seem reasonable the program should default to saving new documents to the current project folder. I mean what's with saving it to the WeBuilder program folder by default? Who does that???

We might consider this request, if more people vote for it.
However, first we need to think about case when you do not work with a project. Should it use the location of your last project used? If not, what should it use instead?
The program now sets the default location to your last saved file.

This can not be true. We can not reproduce it here.I mean what's with saving it to the WeBuilder program folder by default?

I think it would be great if the behaviour would be configurable.
Maybe if you've just started working in a project, then the projects rootfolder should be used. If you already saved a file in a subfolder of the project, then the last used folder should be used. That would be great if you save a dozen of files in a specific folder, then you don't have to jump into that folder again and again.
If you're not working in a project, then the last used folder should be used, or, as part of a global setting, you should be able to set a default folder like "d:\projects\" or something, that you just have to jump into the specific folder you want that file to be in, like "d:\projects\myproject\js\functions.js".
The setting could look like the "New document"-Setting in the General tab, where you can choose a specific folder as a general starting point, or something.

Re: "Save as" should save in current project folder
I grab stuff from across projects and don't always use a project. I like it using the previous save location. An option in the save dialog to "jump to current project" folder and/or "jump to the default folder" could be handy.

How does your inability to replicate the bug make it "not true"? It does this every time for me, and apparently for x3po as well. This can not be true. We can not reproduce it here. The program now sets the default location to your last saved file.
To reproduce I just:
- -Open a project
-Create a new file
-Click Save, or Save As
-WB wants to save in Program Files\WeBuilder every time

Is it possible the config file has been corrupted? I'll try deleting my entire configuration and try again. It will be a major pain to reconfigure everything but if it fixes the problem it will be worth it.
UPDATE!!! Ā» I just deleted the entire Blumentals (settings) folder and the program asked for registration key and had NO presets. I get the same issue! I can understand that you might not be able to reproduce the error but I sure can and it's irritating. Any suggestions on why this is happening would be much appreciated.
I also do a lot of quick pages that make no sense to create a project for.

Agreed! That is conventional "save" behavior in practically every program I use.x3po wrote:I think it would be great if the behaviour would be configurable...
