Moving lines

Post by srdjan »

Hi

Is there a shortcut (in Webuilder) to move selected lines up or down?
I am really missing that feature.

Thanks

I dont think there is but Karlis has mentioned his own desire for such a feature so perhaps it's on the shortlist.

If I understand, you can do this with the mouse.

Either select some text with the keyboard or mouse, then simply drag it to where you like, do this a lot.

Mikey
Try to select whole line (or lines) of text and to drag them up or down. You'll see what I am talking about.
Moving selecions around is easy. Lines are little harder to move because I need to create new - empty line before I drag my lines there.
This is one of the nicest features in EditPlus...or Emacs
It will be nice to see this enhancement in the future version of Webuilder...

Yes I can do that.

Select say 5 lines by dragging the mouse in the gutter (where the line numbers are if you have them on) this selects whole lines.
Can now drag the whole lines to a different position in the document, no need to create blank lines.

would be dreamy to be able to do this from the keyboard. I think that's what Karlis was talking about.
