Play, Stop rewind controls?
How can i add a play, rewind, stop controls using javascript to the web page containing the gif to give the user a means to play it.

I don't think this is at all possible.
A GIF is just an image file which can be animated, there is no way to control it once it's created and shown on a web page.
They're not like a Flash or Video files.
