I have been using Macromedia's Homesite for 8 years but it has not had any development for years so the bugs are still leaping about.
I am so far very impressed with WeBuilder as I only do hand coding (HTML) and it is very close to Homesite (without the bugs) my questions are:
1. Is there any way to alter the colour on certain tags for example I have always had the <IMG> tag in red so I could easily recognise the code.
2. When selecting a image file (jpg, gif) in the file explorer is it possible to view the image and select the parameters I require instead of it going straight in as a link. I do realise that I can use the "inspector" to alter the parameters but it would be nice to see the image (small thumbnail)
PS. Whats the difference between HTMLPad and WeBuilder

Thank you for your post. You have some good points. Here are answers to your questions:
1. Currently not possible, but we consider adding this feature for IMG and probably some other tags.
2. You can double click the image file in the File Explorer, this would insert the IMG tag, however currently there is no way to preview the image. Again, this is on our suggested features list. I can not yet give you any details or time estimates though.
3. Comparison matrix:

Thank you for the honest and quick reply, I will seriously consider purchasing WeBuilder, just one more question.
I normally install one on my main computer and one on my laptop would this be allowed (I am the only user) and if It was is there an easy way to port over the settings (toolbars, layout etc) from one to the other as this would be useful and would save time, I presume this could be completed by using a "ini file" or are all of the setting registry based.
Thanks again

Paul,
Sure, you can use it both on your home PC and laptop or even on two home PCs.
Some settings arte stored in the registry, some are stored in files under
C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Blumentals\WeBuilder\settings
those stored in files can be copied easily. Registry settings can be copied as well, by exporting the registry key, however this task is for advanced users only.
