SQL Explorer: 2 Feature Req's

Post by Disk4mat »

The SQL browser is a great feature and I use it several times a day. I was thinking of two features that would useful...

1. Associate\Add SQL connection to a Project. (Similar to FTP Publish settings for each individual project)

2. Add basic commands to SQL Explorer. Buttons or menu with items such as: Create Table, Insert Row, Delete Record.

Both ideas are good ones!

For the second suggestion, you would, of course, need to have a database selected, which brings up a question -
Why require specifying a database when defining a connection? All databases are shown in the connection anyway.

One way to handle the second suggestion, might be to have a "right-click" menu item associated with a table or view saying "Build Query ...", SQL Browser come up when clicked with Selection Box for query type and check boxes for various fields.

:D

Thats a great idea - a right click menu would be perfect!

Im very new to SQL and having even a few fundamental items would be a huge help.
