Search Engine Position

I'm busy with the optimization of my website and it is going well. The report gives me the Search Engine Position #7. But that result isn't true yet my position is #12. What is the reliability of this result? Is #7 my next position after crawling? Thanks for reading my post and maybe your answer.

Could it be that you're #12 in google.de but #7 in google.com? Could you send me the site name and keyword you're optimizing for (via private message if you don't want this data becoming public) so I can check?
