Just a minor feature request... when configuring an FTP/SFTP connection, if you change the "Server Type" between FTP and SFTP, the "Port" setting should change as well to the corresponding default port number (21 or 22).
When changing the connection from FTP to SFTP, I shouldn't have to remember (or look up) the fact that SFTP's default port is 22. And vice/versa - if I switch back to FTP, the Port should automatically change to 21.
It might also be nice to have a "Test" button that just tries to open and authenticate a connection with the current information in the dialog box instead of having to save the connection settings, try to open a file, and go back into the connection settings when that fails because you mistyped something.

Re: FTP/SFTP Port setting
Port setting should be a standard. It would be very difficult for an average user to troubleshoot this if it won't be implemented.

Re: FTP/SFTP Port setting
So the test button is available in the development version? That sounds good. So it will be with the next beta version. Do you have any idea when the development version is going to be released? Will it be available in the website?
Re: FTP/SFTP Port setting
Karlis was talking about auto-switching ports, not test button. We're not sure that the test button is required at all, because one can test connection by simply connecting to it.
